These terms cover your use of this website and your license to Vantage SEO Pro.

Vantage SEO Pro is not on sale yet. The commercial terms in part 2 are an outline. Items marked as placeholders are not decided. They do not apply until we publish final terms.

Who we are

Two editions, two sets of terms

  • Vantage SEO (free) is open-source software under the MIT License. The MIT License governs your use of the free plugin, not these terms. You can use, copy, change and share the free plugin as the MIT License permits. The license text is in the source repository.
  • Vantage SEO Pro is commercial software. Part 2 of these terms governs it.

Part 1: Use of this website

What you can do

You can read this website, link to it and share its pages. You can quote short parts of the docs, with a link back.

What you must not do

  • Do not attack, overload or scan the site or our servers.
  • Do not try to get access to systems or data that are not public.
  • Do not copy the site's design or content as your own.

Content on this site

We write the content on this site with care, but it can contain errors or become out of date. The screenshots and figures show a demo site. Read the disclaimer before you rely on them.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, for example GitHub. We do not control those sites, and their own terms apply.

Part 2: Vantage SEO Pro license

The license

When you buy Vantage SEO Pro, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on the number of sites that your plan includes. You do not buy the software. We keep all rights that we do not give you in these terms.

Sites and activations

One site is one Instatic install that uses the plugin. Each site that uses your key counts as one activation. You can deactivate a site in the plugin settings to free its place for another site.

License keys

  • Keep your key private. You are responsible for all use of your key.
  • Do not sell, rent, share or publish your key.
  • Do not use one key on more sites than your plan allows.
  • If you think someone else has your key, tell us at [Contact email]. We can revoke it and issue a new one.

License checks

Pro checks your key with our license server when you activate it, and about once a day after that. The privacy policy lists what each check sends. If a check fails, Pro keeps working for a grace period of [Grace period — the plugin uses 14 days today; confirm]. After that, the Pro features lock.

When the Pro features lock, the plugin does not delete your data, and it does not change your published pages. The free features keep working.

Updates and support

While your license is active, you get Pro updates and support. Support channel and response time: [Support channel and response time — set before launch]. What happens to updates when a license ends: [Update access after expiry — set before launch].

Payments, renewals and refunds

What you must not do with Pro

  • Do not remove, bypass or disable the license check.
  • Do not share, resell or publish the Pro code, or a changed copy of it.
  • Do not use Pro to break the law or to harm other people's systems.

Third-party services

Some Pro features connect to services that we do not run: Google Search Console, IndexNow, and AI providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI and OpenRouter. You connect them with your own accounts and keys. Their terms and prices apply, and you pay them directly. We are not responsible for those services, their output or their costs.

AI and agent features

You must review all AI suggestions before you publish them. You control the MCP access tokens that you create, and you are responsible for the actions that agents take with them. The disclaimer gives more detail.

Ending the license

  • You can stop using Pro at any time.
  • We can end your license if you break these terms, for example if you resell or share your key. We will tell you why, by email where we can.
  • When the license ends, the Pro features lock. Your data and your published pages stay as they are. You can keep using the free plugin under the MIT License.

No warranty

We supply this website and Vantage SEO Pro "as is" and "as available". To the full extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the software is free of errors or that it will run without interruption. We do not promise any search ranking or traffic result.

Limitation of liability

To the full extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This includes loss of profit, revenue, rankings, traffic, data or goodwill.
  • Our total liability to you is limited to [Liability cap, e.g. the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim].

Some laws do not allow these limits. Where such a law applies, the limits apply only as far as that law permits. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. We will put the new date at the top of this page. For a paid license, the terms that apply are the terms in force when you bought or last renewed it, unless the law or a security need requires a change. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [Governing law / jurisdiction]. The courts of [Governing law / jurisdiction] decide disputes, unless your local consumer law gives you a different right.

General

  • If a court finds that part of these terms is invalid, the other parts stay in force.
  • If we do not enforce a term, we do not give up our right to enforce it later.
  • These terms, the privacy policy, the cookie policy and the disclaimer are the full agreement between you and us about this website and Vantage SEO Pro.
